Penrose math and cal

Merch design for MGSA, inspired by Penrose kites and darts tiling

A dense blue-and-orange tessellation of repeated white and orange CalMath lettering on a dark blue background

Medium: Digital illustration
Dimensions: 3840 × 2160 px

We replace the kites and darts in the Penrose tiling by deformed words “MATH” and “CAL”. The colors are Berkeley Blue and California Gold. This is created via Inkscape and Illustrator.

You can also follow Youtube video by mistercorzi and build your own Penrose tiling.
